CONCEPT OF KUTUMBA SAMITI:

 

It is a method of structural organisation of Hindu Society.

 

THE NEED:                                                  MEMBERSHIP FORM

 

 In India, a number of religions are in existence. Except Hindus, all other religions are united socially and economically. There are a number of organisations among Hindus, but each one caters to only a particular state, community, or sentiment, not to ‘HINDUS’ as a whole.

  Hindus are divided by different languages, customs, etc. due to the state-based allegiance. However they are one in spirit  and united by the doctrine of ‘Sanathana Dharma’.

 Swamiji always dreamt of a great Hindu unity, as a stepping stone to World Unity.   

  Hence we are forming ‘Kutumba Samitis’ among all Hindu families barring the languages/states to which we belong, or the countries in which we reside.

 

BENEFITS:

 

By becoming members of the Kutumba Samiti:

1. The unknown family members will be known to everyone.

For example, in Mumbai itself, devotees at Kalyan,Thane, etc. may not know their counterparts at Borivili, Andheri, etc.

The ashram will inform members about nearby members.

2. Group prayers and mass meetings will be organised easily.

3. Emergency assistance can be provided to a member by nearby members easily , who would otherwise have been ‘aliens’ and unwilling or unknown.

4. It  will instil a sense of brotherhood and unity among a fragmented society.
